Mixed Bed Systems

 

Mixed-bed Units are normally used to ‘polish’ the water to higher levels of purity after it has been initially treated by either a two-bed deionizer or a reverse osmosis unit. In mixed-bed deionizers the Strong Acid Cation and Strong Base Anion resins are closely mixed and contained in a single pressure vessel. The thorough mixture of resins in a single column makes a mixed-bed deionizer equivalent to an extended series of two-bed plants. As a result, the water quality obtained from a mixed-bed deionizer is appreciably higher than that produced by a two-bed plant.

 

Mixed bed unit can produce the highest quality of deionised water possible, however, feeding untreated tap water into a mixed bed unit can be an expensive option and may not produce the water quality required.

 

In order to obtain the purest quality deionised water, a multi-stage reverse osmosis system should be used before the water is treated through the Mixed Bed unit. While the reverse osmosis system removes most of the impurities the Resin DI Filter removes the rest of the ions in the water.

Our design of Mixed Bed Systems ensure the maximum utilization of the high bed depth, effective surface area, uniform space and linear velocity across the resin bed, which provides effective contact time between water and resin bed, all our units are manufactured with high quality IX resins and parts, our Mixed Bed Systems produce high purity water for sensitive process application i.e. WFI (water for Injection) High Pressure Boilers, EC circuits.. etc.

Ready-to-use mixed bed resins.
Regenerable or non-regenerable mixed bed resins.
